Disposal Explosives

In most EOD and demolition operations, some situations allow a high order detonation; however in some situations a high order detonation  has to be avoided. Low order detonation or deflagration is target of low order charges. This is a rapid technique as the textbook definition for deflagration is a rapid burning where the pressure at the reaction front never catches the shock wave.

Copper linear shape charge

Linear Shaped Charge (LSC) or Charge Linear Cutting (CLC)  is an explosive powder enclosed in a seamless copper  sheath with continuous explosives lengths shaped in an inverted “V”. When detonated, the V-shaped metal liner with explosive core produces a uniform linear cut. This action, known as “Monroe effect”, can be mastered by controlling the LSC /CLC  dimensions and configuration, explosive type and load, liner thickness and continuity.  This high velocity jet impacts the target with pressures exceeding the target’s yield strength and literally pushes the target material to either side of the path of the jet.

Shock Tube

The signal shock tube consists of a narrow plastic tube coated inside surface with a very thin layer of high explosives. Shock tube can be initiated by detonators, detonating cord & shot shell starter device. In resulting shock ways travels at high speed (2000 m/s) through the tube towards detonator connected at the other end.

Detonating cord

Detonating cord consists of PETN core covered by woven tube of polythene tape and cotton threads protected by an outer insulation of polyvinyl chloride. The weight of cord is approximately +-10 g/m and outer diameter is about 5.0 – 5.5mm. The Detonating Cord is a strong, Flexible and linear explosive which consists of a continuous core of high explosives PETN. The Detonating Cord is critical in transmitting energy for initiation of explosion. It is a cap sensitive product having the ability to initiate all cap sensitive explosives & primers.

Cord Detonating

electric detonator no8

It is high power detonator and initiated by an electric impulse. It can reliably initiate all explosives & detonating cords applicable for blasting work in well mining or in open pit, digging tunnels, road construction, building water conservancy project etc. Electric detonators are widely used to initiate blast sequence but are rarely now used inside the blast hole themselves except seismic prospecting. Electric energy is introduced into the detonator from out source via a primary circuit wire through detonator leads.

non electric detonator

It is a compact mechanical device which contains PETN as primary base charge. It is high power detonator and initiated with Safety Fuse. It can reliably initiate all type of cap sensitive explosive and primers for controlled blasting & used for blasting work in well mining, open pit, digging tunnels, road construction, building water conservancy project etc.

Safety fuse

Safety Fuse is a flexible fuse cord with inner core containing special grade black powder and is covered with textile yarns. For water proofing, fuse is insolated with PVC or Bitumen. Safety Fuse burns slowly for transmitting of the burn to a detonator providing time for the demolition team to evacuate from the area.

M112 Demolition charge

The M112 Demolition Charge with taggant is comprised of a pressed Composition C-4 block wrapped and sealed in Mylar plastic. The M112 includes a pressure sensitive adhesive tape for application to a variety of surfaces. AES produces the M112 for US DoD and approved foreign military, police and commercial customers.

Ballistic Disc

Charge Efah-1

Consists of a dished copper plate attached to one end of an Aluminum tube. When filled with PE or similar explosive and a detonator positioned centrally at the rear, on initiation, the copper disc reverses producing a self forging fragment (slug) penetrating the casing and giving a 90% probability of deflagration. A nominal 20 cm stand off is used with a top attack on a bomb apparently giving best results. For remote delivery the charge can be delivered with built in standoff.

Affect 1

The cutting and burning actions both get performed as a line rupture is achieved.

Low order techniques rupture line

Affect 2

Large number of splinters will be avoided to dispose off the filling in one step operation.
