The military 400 gallon Water trailer is a 1½ Ton, 2 Wheeled trailer distributes drinking water to field operating units. With steel body M149 version, Stainless steel tank M-149A and Fiberglass tank M-149A1 are also offered. These Water Tlr also referred to as Water Buffalo are designed to carry potable or non-potable water on either highway or cross-country routes. It can be towed by a 2½ Ton Truck or equal with allowable speeds of 80 km/h highway and 48 km/h cross-country.
New 400 Gallons 1.5 ton Water Trailer EXWC-400G
EXWC -400G is an upgraded 400-gallon, 2-wheeled, double-wall insulated stainless steel water trailer. This trailer, also referred to as the Upgraded Water Buffalo, is engineered to transport potable water only, in compliance with NSF/ANSI 61 standards, across highway, secondary, and unimproved cross-country terrain. It is compatible with a wide range of U.S. military and commercial prime movers, with a NATO-standard adjustable lunette eye (24–42 inches) and integrated NATO 12-pin plus commercial 7-way electrical connectors. Designed for global deployment in austere environments, it maintains operational readiness from -25°F to 130°F and is capable of fording 30 inches of water for 15 minutes.
- 6–28V DC Electrical System with NATO 12-pin and commercial 7-way connectors, featuring LED lighting with standard and blackout operational modes.
- NATO-standard intervehicular cable and 15,000 lb-rated safety chains with positive locking connections.
- Retractable landing gear with pivoting caster wheel and height-adjustable lunette eye (24″–42″) for compatibility with multiple military and commercial tow vehicles.
- Heavy-duty single axle with multi-leaf spring suspension, equipped with mechanical hubometer and grease zerks for extended service life.
- Dual-line air-over-hydraulic brake system with emergency breakaway and parking brake capable of securing a loaded trailer on a 30% grade.
- Rugged, corrosion-resistant construction with T-304L stainless steel tank, insulated double-wall design, and flat lusterless green MIL-SPEC finish.
- Air-transport certified for C-130, C-17, and C-5 aircraft in accordance with MIL-STD-1366E and ATTLA requirements.
- Optional integrated lockable toolbox and onboard tool set; manual hand pump not included unless specified.
