MINE DETECTOR

AET-M3E

The AET-M3E is a lightweight mine detector from Al Efah Technologies, built for threat identification in diverse operational environments. Designed for wartime clearance and post-conflict demining, it locates buried landmines and unexploded ordnance. It also serves peacekeeping, counter-terrorism and security operations, detecting explosives, firearms and knives concealed underground, underwater or within structures.

Key features

  • High-sensitivity pulse induction: multi-pulse-width bipolar pulsed electromagnetic induction detects a Type 72 anti-personnel mine at over 16 cm and a GLD111 anti-personnel mine at 15 cm or more.
  • Soil adaptability: a soil background suppression algorithm removes interference in complex ground such as alkaline soil, magnetic soil and seawater.
  • Light and portable: a foldable integrated structure, 3 kg or less in operation and well balanced for one-person use.
  • Rugged IP68 design: reliable in rain, shallow water and extreme temperatures from -40 °C to +55 °C.
  • Long battery life: 12 hours or more on four standard D-type batteries.

AET-M3E or AET-MR1?

The AET-M3E is the lighter, foldable metal detector with 12+ hours of battery life. For IEDs with non-metallic components, choose the dual-sensor AET-MR1 mine detector with GPR, which adds ground-penetrating radar.

Frequently asked questions

What is the AET-M3E?

The AET-M3E is a lightweight, foldable pulse-induction mine detector from Al Efah Technologies for finding buried landmines and unexploded ordnance.

How much does the AET-M3E weigh?

Total weight in operation is 3 kg or less. Its foldable structure is well balanced for one-person use, and the length adjusts from 90 cm to 130 cm.

How deep can the AET-M3E detect mines?

It detects a GLD111 anti-personnel mine at 15 cm or more and a Type 72 anti-personnel mine at over 16 cm.

What batteries does the AET-M3E use?

Four D-type batteries: alkaline, 1.5 V lithium or 1.2 V NiMH rechargeable. It runs for 12 hours or more at room temperature with standard batteries.

Is the AET-M3E waterproof?

Yes. It is rated IP68 for reliable use in rain and shallow water, and works from -40 °C to +55 °C.

Does the AET-M3E work in magnetic or alkaline soil?

Yes. A soil background suppression algorithm removes interference in general, magnetic, alkaline and red soil, and in seawater.
