Aircraft IR Flare FL-17

The FL-17 is a Infrared (IR) decoy flare cartridge designed as a direct Form, Fit, and Functional (F3) replacement for the MJU-7A/B. Built around a proven Magnesium-Teflon-Viton (MTV) pyrotechnic composition, the FL-17 delivers equivalent or superior IR decoy performance while meeting all dimensional and interface requirements of the original MJU-7A/B standard. Constructed with a durable aluminum case, the flare houses a high-performance incendiary pellet. Its compact design ensures efficient integration with various flare dispenser systems, including Mohafiz CFD system or ALE-40/45/47 as well as other standard dispensing systems. The FL-17 is deployed using the CT-18 or BBU-36/B impulse cartridge.

Key features

  • Function: They serve as an infrared countermeasure (IRCM) by emitting a high-intensity heat signature that mimics the aircraft’s engines, diverting incoming heat-seeking missiles.
  • MTV flare composition: The IR-radiating payload uses a Magnesium-Teflon-Viton (MTV) extruded flare grain, ensuring consistent spectral output and burn characteristics
  • IR protection: Designed to provide effective protection against air-to-air and surface-to-air infrared-guided weapon systems by generating a high-intensity IR signature that diverts heat-seeking missiles from the host platform
  • Reliable ignition system: Incorporates a reliable ignition architecture that minimises dud rate and post-ejection debris, reducing risk of damage to the host aircraft
  • Consistent burn time and intensity: MTV grain geometry and composition are engineered to replicate the decoy effectiveness profile of NATO standards.
  • Safe-and-Arm Ignition: Features a built-in delay sequencer so the pyrotechnic material ignites safely after leaving the dispenser
  • Replacement of MJU-7 IR flare
  • Suitable for Chinese & NATO aircraft.
  • Storage life 9 & installed life 1 year.
  • Non-ITAR Controlled

Aircraft Chaff CH-16

The CH-16 Chaff Countermeasure Cartridge is a critical component of modern aircraft defensive aids systems. It is designed as a direct form, fit, and function replacement for
RR-170/ RR-188 versions. CH‑16 can be filled with different chaff hanks to meet either the full
E through J band (2–18 GHz) for broadband protection or I through J band (8–18 GHz) for optimization against higher‑frequency threats. The cartridge deploys a cloud of chaff dipoles that creates a superior radar return, deceiving incoming radar‑guided missiles and ensuring a safe miss distance for the host aircraft. It is operationally proven on platforms including the PAF F‑16, with CH‑16 as a trusted, combat‑ready countermeasure solution.

Key features

  • Broad Compatibility: Fully compatible with a wide range of dispenser systems including Mohafiz CFD system, AN/ALE-40, AN/ALE-45, and AN/ALE-47 series, as well as M130, M147, and dispensers from Terma, MBDA, and Thales.
  • Optimized Performance: Features a broad-band chaff payload optimized to counter multiple radar threats. The payload can be customized to meet specific mission and threat profile requirements.
  • Proven Reliability: Detailed qualification test performed for reliability in extreme environmental conditions, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Logistical Simplicity: Features a long shelf life and is certified for safe and efficient transport and handling.
  • Replacement of RR-170/ RR-188 Chaff
  • Suitable for Chinese & NATO aircraft.
  • Storage life > 10 years.
  • Non-ITAR Controlled-

Cartridge CT-19

  • Operation without delay: Engineered to function instantly with a total initiation and deployment response time of less than 15 milliseconds, ensuring immediate defense when an incoming missile threat is detected.
  • Glass to metal insulation seal: Utilizes a highly durable insulation and hermetic seal at the electrical contacts. Cartridge is also sealed when it is closed..
  • O-ring seal: Features a high-integrity elastomer ring seated along the outer metal body casing to provide environmental waterproofing.
  • Safety in storage and handling: Rated with a stable 1 Ampere no-fire safety limit and categorized under UN Hazard Class 1.4S the cartridge design is qualified for safe handling.
  • Versatile Compatibility: Fits into universally standard defensive countermeasure dispenser systems (CMDS) including the AN/ALE-40, AN/ALE-47, and AN/ALE-52, Mohafiz CFD and GT-1P allowing it to support multiple aircraft variations worldwide.
  • Used with of MJU-7 IR flare
  • Replacment solution for BBU-36B

Cartridge CT-14

The CT-14-is a pyrotechnic device used to deploy aircraft countermeasures such as chaff (CH-16, RR-170, RR-188,) and infrared flares (M206). It is designed as a direct Form, Fit, and Functional (F3) replacement for the BBU-35 impulse cartridge. Upon receiving an electrical signal from the aircraft’s countermeasures dispensing system, it rapidly generates gas pressure to eject these payloads, thereby protecting the aircraft from radar-guided and heat-seeking missile threats. It is a form-fit-functional replacement of BBU-35 cartridges used under NATO/ US designation.

Key features

  • Electrical Initiation: Activated by applying an electrical pulse from the aircraft to the internal bridge wire.
  • Rapid Response: Features a fast ignition delay or function time, typically under 20 milliseconds, for immediate threat reaction.
  • Standardized Interface: Designed with consistent physical dimensions and electrical characteristics (e.g., ~1 Ohm resistance, 4.25A all-fire current) for compatibility across different aircraft platforms.
  • Robust Safety: Includes clear “No Fire” current ratings, 1A) to prevent accidental initiation.
  • Pressure-Based Ejection: Generates a controlled gas pulse within a specific pressure range to reliably deploy countermeasure payloads.
  • Used with of Chaff Cartridge
  • Form, fit, functional replacement of BBU35
  • Suitable for Chinese & NATO aircraft.
  • Non-ITAR Controlled
