Universal Robotic Manipulator
The PKM-02 UXO Manipulator is a lightweight telescopic arm designed to offer a 3-meter standoff distance when the operator is already protected by an EOD suit. The manipulator consists of three sections with locking mechanisms to securely hold the extended position. At the end of the telescopic arm is a universal mount for installation of different tools. A mechanical claw is the important tool installed. A counterweight and battery box are installed on the other end.
The operator control panel allows precise control over the claw’s opening and closing positions, as well as continuous 360º rotation of the claw. The open and close functions of the claw can be controlled either through visual feedback or an LCD screen. In addition to manipulating suspect objects, the device can also be utilized for positioning explosives charge for detonation.
