Electric Detonator Instantaneous

An instantaneous Electric Detonator detonates without delay on application of the required electric firing current. The wires pass through a molded PVC plug which is then crimped into the open end of detonator tube. All electric detonators have shunts on the free ends of the leg wires as mandatory safety precaution. Our product generally fulfills all the international safety and technical aspects by virtue of its make and application.

Plain Detonator / Blasting cap

A Plain detonator or blasting cap is a small sensitive primary explosive device generally used to detonate a larger, more powerful and less sensitive secondary explosive. Plain Detonator is used for mining and construction purposes. It can reliably initiate all cap sensitive explosives and detonating cord.

This type of detonator is used with safety fuse under relatively dry conditions, preferably where a single or multiple charges are to be fired. Plain detonator is made of Aluminum sheet, Lead azide, Lead styphanate (1º) and PETN (2º). The detonator is criped to the safety fuse with specialized crimper.

Delay Electric Detonator

High Precision Electric Detonators are used in wide variety of applications. These are available in various standard wire lengths and in two different delay series (Milli Second and Half Second). The detonators can be deployed easily and have several features that is simply blast connections, field checks and initiation. Biafo’s electrical detonators features equal timing accuracy for improved fragmentation and vibration.

  • Milli Second detonators have standard delay numbers ranging from period # 1 to 20 (25ms to 500ms) with nominal time intervals of 25ms between successive delay numbers.
  • Half Second detonators have standard delay numbers ranging from period # 1 to 10 (500ms to 5000ms) with nominal time intervals of 500ms between successive delay numbers.

Seismic Electric Detonator

Seismic Electric Detonator

Seismic Electric Detonator is a high-performance detonator designed for geophysical exploration. It has is a super-fast high strength instantaneous Blasting Cap. Its robust construction ensures reliability in harsh environments. Key features include a copper-coated fuse head for optimal conductivity, and antistatic, water-resistant leg wires for durability. It is ideal for both single and pattern firing applications.

NonEl Delay Detonator

Non-Electric Delay Detonator

Non-electric delay detonators (Binel) offer precise millisecond or half-second delays for controlled blasting with improved fragmentation and vibration. Suitable for both surface and underground operations, these detonators feature a shock tube that reliably transmits a high-speed signal to initiate the blasting cap. The shock tube is a 3mm outer diameter plastic tube, coated inside with a thin layer of High Explosive/Aluminum dust, which reliably transmits a low energy signal/ pressure wave up-to 2000 m/s from one point to another to initiate the detonator. The outer surface of the tube remains intact during and after functioning. The distinguishable tough outer layer gives excellent abrasive, oil resistance and tensile properties.

  • Milli Second detonators have standard delay numbers ranging from 1 to 20 (25ms to 500ms) with nominal time intervals of 25ms between successive delay numbers.
  • Half Second detonators have standard delay numbers ranging from 1 to 10 (500ms to 5000ms) with nominal time intervals of 500ms between successive delay numbers.

Igniter Safety Fuse

This device is designed to provide a means of ignition for initiation of burn. Igniter consists of a reliable fusehead crimped into a copper tube with a vent hole. The tube has an integral stop to ensure correct fitting to safety fuze. The wires are twisted to reduce the risk of accidental initiation by stray Radio Frequency (RF) interference.
